There's something about doing chores with others that seems to take the load off! For me anyway! Helps me to stay on task!

A couple of months ago, a friend ran into such a circumstance when her much anticipated dream vacation was cancelled due to the untimely death of the organizer. I likely don't have to tell you that this hit home with me. Not only with respect to our trips but my household in general. I first heard about NOK Box at a recent seminar that I attended regarding estate planning from another attendee. For me, it is a perfect start to put together key information for my "next-of-kin" should they need it! 

You will see on the link provided at the bottom of this page that there are several options. I chose the basic for $39 as I have plenty of file folders and the other items that are included in the various options.

Please note: We will be creating the file system only. It shouldn't take more than two hours. It is not necessary to take your personal papers with you, but you are welcome to if you would like to use your free time to work on your N.O.K Box.

Your N.O.K. Box Getaway is $59.00 and includes:

Up to two nights shared twin room lodging, two continental breakfasts, two 3-course dinners. Please note: N.O.K. Box not included. In VT, this time of year is called "mud" season when the snow has disappeared but mud remains. Boots or hiking boots encouraged for outdoors.

Itinerary:

Aprill 27th. Afternoon arrival. Check-in 4 p.m. Social time with shared appetizers and BYO-beverages. 

6 p.m. Dinner followed by cleanup

7:30 p.m. Free time. Chill, puzzles, game night, movie.

April 28th. Rise and Shine! Morning coffee and continental breakfast.

10 a.m. -  12 Noon - Intro and review checklist and get started on setting up your N.O.K. Box. Participants are responsible for ordering their choice of "kit" and having it in hand to use during our productive time.

12:00 Noon - Byo-picnic lunch. Grill available. Weather-permitting we will enjoy our lunch at tables/chairs set up in the backyard. Plan B - indoor picnic.

1 p.m. - 5 p.m. - Free time to choose a walk, bike ride, or shopping. Our lodging in 20 mins from Ludlow and 45 mins from Quechee and Woodstock for anyone interested in exploring the area.

5 p.m. - Social Hour with shared apps and BYO-beverages.

6 p.m. Dinner

April 29th. Starting at 8:00 a.m. Enjoy your morning coffee in the frest VT air on our back porch or the comfy warmth of our most-cherished fireplace! Early-risers are welcome to make their own coffee! :) Fuel up with a hearty continental breakfast and an optional walk through downtown Chester before departing for home.
